In addition to these projects, Mr. Murphy was instrumental in the acquisition of five resort projects within the 20|20 Resorts Inc. business unit with a retail value in excess of $150,000,000. These projects are in various stages of development and are located in the following markets: the Okanagan Valley, British Columbia (three projects); Smithers, British Columbia (one project); and Zihuatanejo, Mexico (one project). 20|20 is in the business of creating value through real estate, including the acquisition of multifamily properties for condominium conversion, substantial renovation and re-sale to investors through 20|20 Properties Inc.; the identification and development of strategically located resort properties through 20|20 Resorts Inc.; and, the development of real estate investment products through 20|20 Investments Inc. From 1997 to 1999, Mr. Murphy acted as the Vice-President of Marketing for International Properties Group Inc. (IPG), a Toronto Stock Exchange listed real estate investment company. Mr. Murphy was responsible for national marketing efforts, including the branding of the public company, all operating divisions and each of the company’s real estate projects located in British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario and Quebec. From 1990 to 1997, Mr. Murphy was the President and Founder of International Investment Properties Inc. and International Investment Properties Ontario Inc. (IIPO), both private companies in the business of acquiring multifamily properties for re-sale to investors. As the President of these companies, he was responsible for the identification, acquisition and re-sale of numerous multifamily projects located in British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario and Arizona. The database of investors Mr. Murphy developed for IIPO, as well as the client finance division, project pipeline and distribution network of the company were acquired by IPG in 1997, at which time Mr. Murphy joined the company as the Vice-President of Marketing. |
