Within a three month period we raised over $4.4 million, well above our anticipated raise of $4.2 million for this fund. Hudson Bay Mountain is home to Ski & Ride Smithers, an existing regional destination ski resort. The mountain is big in every dimension and with initiatives put in place to develop over 4,000 vertical feet of snow covered trails and a new ski lift, it has the potential to be among the largest in North America.
We are pleased to announce that the Province of British Columbia has approved the
Ski Area Master Plan for Hudson Bay Mountain.
The Master Plan sets out the framework for the transformation of Hudson Bay Mountain into a spectacular multi-season, regional resort that preserves the mountain wilderness experience. The approval of the Ski Area Master Plan by the Ministry of Tourism is the culmination of two years work and completes one very large step toward realizing this vision. Under the first phase of the Master Plan the resort will be able to add new ski lifts, add new ski runs and increase the skiable terrain on the mountain.
We believe the Hudson Bay Mountain Estates will establish a new beginning for mountain recreational communities with its majestic mountain views, sunlight pouring in from dawn to dusk and true ski in ski out access from these large cabin lots.
